ISO 22000 Foundation Course

The ISO 22000 Foundation Course is the best starting point for professionals who are looking to gain knowledge in food safety and implement a Food Safety Management System (FSMS) under international standards. The course details the underlying theory of ISO 22000, including safe food handling principles, systems design and the necessity to comply with relevant regulations.

The first module will cover the basics of food safety, the importance of food safety to the protection of public health and the main issues organisations would experience if they don't have safety protocols in place. There are many real life risks, hygiene practices considered and how ISO 22000 helps address food safety issues relating to the consumption of contaminated food or drink.

The second module will cover FSMS, and discuss aspects like risk-based thinking, the Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle, prerequisite programs and principles of Hazard Assessment and Critical Control Points (HACCP). Participants will understand the interconnectedness of ISO 22000 food safety standards and other qualifications, such as the ISO 22000 Lead Implementer Course or the Certified FSMS Lead Auditor Course.

As a participant in the course, at the end of the course, you will be able to drive FSMS implementation in your organisation or develop into higher-level certifications.
