ISO 22000 Introduction Course

The ISO 22000 Introduction Course provides a concise and illustrative description of the Food Safety Management system (FSMS) and is perfect for individuals at the start of engaging with ISO standards or the food safety area. The course will introduce concepts to learners that will help them understand the structure and purpose of ISO 22000 and how to apply it as they implement systems that will forge a foundation for safe food handling and processing.

The first module discusses the key concepts of FSMS, global food safety issues, and the importance of ISO 22000 to mitigate food safety hazards. The second module takes the learner through the most relevant clauses (4-10), including organization context, leadership, operational planning, and continuous improvement.

The learners will take away useful and valuable information, especially concerning the pre-requisites needed to implement ISO 22000, its relationship to HACCP, and its relationship to comparable standards, such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. This course is a starting point for professional journeys to more advanced learning pathways such as ISO 22000 Lead Implementer course or Certified FSMS Lead Auditor course.
